29 April 2013 : Information Technology Act of India has been existing for about 12 years now. The initial IT Act came into force in 2000 and the latest amendments in 2009. The act enables India to recognize electronic commerce, electronic transactions and electronic evidences. With the 2008 amendment, the act aims to address the data privacy, information security, define reasonable security practices to be followed by the corporates and defines a list of cybercrimes.The speaker explained various aspects of the Act and its impact on SMEs
