On 27th November 2013, IEEE Kochi Subsection organized a Lecture by Vice Admiral (Retd) B.Kannan at Rajagiri School of Science & Technology. The topic of the lecture was “Need for a Secure Coastal Line”. Shri. Kannan explained various aspects related to coastal security. He briefed about various international laws related to coastal boundaries, and the need for monitoring and securing the coastal lines. He explained various technologies available for monitoring the sea boundaries and the challenges associated with them.
