National Seminar on Current Advances in RF and VLSI Engineering (CARVE 2013)

The Division of Electronics Engineering, School Of Engineering, CUSAT organized CARVE-2013 with the technical support from IEEE Kochi Subsection on March 1 and 2,2013 The two day event was inaugurated by Prof Godfrey Louis, Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor, CUSAT and Prof P.S Sreejith, Principal, School of Engineering; CUSAT presided over the inaugural function. Prof K G NAIR, Director, C-SiS, CUSAT and Prof Poulose Jacob, Head, Department of Computer Science extended the felicitations. The seminar comprised of 6 sessions and each session was handled by lead scientist and researchers from the electronic industry. The session were: “Recent Trends And Enabling Technologies In RF And Microwaves, LTE UE Design Challenges, Low Power SoC Design, Wireless Power Transfer And Metamaterials, Low Power SoC Design FPGA: The Art Of Programmable Design.

A whooping 116 participants from a wider cross-section ranging from UG students to Professors participated in the 2 day event. The total number of external participants was 79. All the sessions were interactive and the participants were given ample opportunities to clarify all their queries. The participants were exposed to the recent advancements made in the industries and the whole event was a great success with complete participation from the audiences’ side. Dr. Binu Paul and Dr. Rekha K James were the coordinators of the event. The program got a wonderful feedback from all the participants.
